This gorgeous bundle of colors is made from Coopworth and Cormo fleeces, each dyed with apple bark (yellow), cochineal (dark pink), madder root (orange), lac (red), and a combination of madder and cochineal (peach).
I have spun these up myself in various ways. My favorite is to comb the coopworth and cormo together and you end up with a lovely soft yarn. Coopworth is a long wool, nice and sturdy and easy to spin. Cormo has a shorter staple and spins up “like butter.” Together they bring out the best in each other. Of course you can try your own techniques to spin these luscious locks.
